[CCoE Notice] Celebration of Excellence

University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering

 

Dear Cullen College Faculty and Staff,

The University of Houston community is invited to a Celebration of
Excellence in recognition of last week's Carnegie Foundation rankings. As
you know, the research ranking placed us in good company with Rice
University, Texas A&M University and The University of Texas at Austin.
This was a tremendous step in our efforts to become the next
<http://www.uh.edu/about/tier-one/> Tier One public institution in the state
of Texas. 

The celebration will be held this Friday from 11 a.m. to noon at the Cullen
Performance Hall (doors open at 10:30 a.m.) I'd like to encourage all
faculty and staff to attend the event to represent our ongoing efforts here
at the Cullen College. Be sure to wear red!
