TO:  ALL ENGINEERING FACULTY

Fall 2011 Grading
VERY IMPORTANT!!!  PLEASE NO "NR" GRADES for FALL 2011!!!
A reminder that it is very important that we DO NOT HAVE ANY "NR" Grades for ANY STUDENTS for Fall 2011!!
Having an NR listing impacts academic standing, student financial aid and graduation certification.

If you are unsure of the grade to assign, here are a few helpful suggestions:
If the course is a Senior Honors Thesis or Master's Thesis the student should receive a grade if the work is complete.
If the work is not yet complete, the grade issued should be "IP" (in progress).

If the course is a PhD dissertation, the student should receive a grade if the work is complete.
If the work is not yet complete, the grade issued should be "IP" (in progress).

If the student stopped attending your course but didn't drop it, you should assign a grade of "F" if that is the grade that they "earned."

If you and the student have entered into an Incomplete Grade Agreement, the grade issued, should be "I" (incomplete) until the student has completed the work. The Incomplete Grade Agreement form is filed with the department.  Once the work is completed, an ARCA (grade adjustment form) must be submitted within one academic year or the grade of "I" will be converted automatically to a grade of "F".

Fall 2011 Grading Timeline
Grade rosters were generated on December 5, 2011.  Students who have applied to graduate will be indicated on grade rosters.

The grading timeline is as follows:
December 19:            Grades are due by 11:59PM.  NO ONLINE GRADE CHANGE FUNTION WILL BE AVAILABLE!
December 20:            Fall 2011 Fully graded date; end of term processing (academic standing etc.)
