[CCoE Notice] FW: HB2504 Compliance Status - Class Day 5

To Engineering Faculty and Instructors,
                It is that time of year when we are required by HB 2504 to upload syllabi and CV's for all undergraduate courses.  The attachment shows those faculty and courses which have not yet uploaded these two files.  I have also attached the two templates needed.
                You can find the place to upload your completed documents on your Peoplesoft Faculty Center.
                This is perhaps the single most-useless bureaucratic requirement the state makes on us, as faculty.  Still it must be done.  You may note that my name is on the attached list of faculty/instructors not in compliance.  I have since completed this.  I would like to ask that you do so, too.  The deadline is today.

Please see the summarized attached Compliance report data as of 8/26/11 (Class day #5).

HB2504 bill mandates that certain information, including class syllabi, instructor-of-record CVs and cost of attendance (if available) must be readily accessible on the institution's website (specifically no more than three clicks from the main web-page and without password protection). The effective date to comply with certain requirements of the bill is August 29, 2011.

The "Generate CV and Syllabus Compliance Report" PS program creates the compliance report listing the course, instructor and the compliance status. There are two values for the status:
*        No - The require document does not exist
*        Yes - The required document is in the database
The course selection criteria is:
*        The course is defined as 'LAB', 'LEC', 'LLB', 'SEM'.
*        There is a minimum of 5 registered students.
*        The course must not end with '98' or '99'
*        Graduate courses are ommitted.
The attached shows the UG sections that are not in- compliance as of 8/26/10.  Compliance is required for UG sections on the 7th class day of every semester.  The fall 2010 compliance date is 8/30/10.
