[CCoE Notice] Faculty Senate Report #4: Merge of UC, RC, GPSC and an Expanded Faculty Senate

Dear Colleagues of Engineering,

You might have heard that there are discussions of merging the Undergrad Council, Research Council and Grad and Professional Studies Council into an expanded Faculty Senate, which will include instructional, research and clinical faculty in addition to the tenured and tenure track faculty.

A “Faculty Governance Unification Subcommittee” was created at the “Faculty Governance Retreat” on Oct. 8.  Attached FYI is the first report of the subcommittee that will be discussed at the Faculty Senate Meeting  today.  If you have any suggestions or requests, please let Joe Charlson, Shankar Chellam, Dmitri Litvinov,  Richard Willson or me know. Thank you.
