As you might have heard long awaited NRC data is out and I am attaching two files in this email comparing UH with other Emerging Research Universities in Texas and UH with all Texas Universities.  In a minute I will send you an email with the graduate profile of the departments in the college pertinent for the discussion of increasing PhD student population in the College.  Also, more details of the ranking for your department, I am sending to your chair.  You can go to the Chronicle of Higher Education site for an interactive tool that you can use to find and compare the ranking of any school.  Here is that link:
