[CCoE Notice] Upgrade of mail server "Bug" scheduled for Saturday morning

This Saturday morning (March 6), between 7 a.m. and noon, we will be 
migrating the last mail services from the old server "Bug" to a much newer 
server.  List services and e-mail aliases have already been migrated and 
tested.

During the transition, access to the server will be unavailable.

This means that no e-mail that uses this server (e-mail with addresses of 
the form @egr.uh.edu, for example) will be available during this period.

Similarly, e-mail clients that access this server using POP or IMAP will 
not have access, and the list servers (such as "Engi-Dist") will be 
unavailable during the transition.

No incoming e-mail will be lost during this transition; it will simply be 
delayed during the time that the data is being transferred.

Once the migration is completed, all normal services will again be 
available.  Barring any unforeseen problems, restoration of normal 
operations should be concluded by no later than noon.
