Hi all:

 

The Division of Research is currently underway with the development and 
implementation of management interfaces in the .net environment for the 
research administration needs of the UH community.  There are two 
priorities:  the creation of a sponsored research management interface 
for faculty and the migration and enhancement of the REFS application.  
Both initiatives are in development simultaneously.  The faculty 
interface focus group has met and set expectations for version one of 
the product.  The REFS application is being developed to migrate to the 
new environment with enhancements/changes to take place following user 
focus group input.  The Faculty management interface will be ready for 
Version 1 test within the next two months.  The REFS migration is 
expected to be complete and in test by the end of April;  once passed, 
focus group meetings will provide direction and  requirements for 
enhancements.
