[CCoE Notice] Operation School Supplies Campaign

For many years, the UH alumni association, with HEB, Coca Cola and some
other sponsors, have organized a school supply collection drive for children
who can't afford their own.  Last year, the drive collected $150,000 worth
of supplies that were distributed to 132,000 students in 330 schools in 31
school districts.

The University of Houston and the Cullen College of Engineering are proudly
participating in this year's campaign.  We have placed three collection
boxes on each floor of Building 1 next to the east elevators.  The idea is
to contribute with whatever you can and give these children (K to 12th
grade) what they need.  Any school supply you can give will be welcome:
pencils, glue sticks, binders, backpacks, etc.

The drive has just started and will run through August 13.
