Subject: Announcement of FDIP Grants for FY 2011

The Office of Academic Affairs will be providing funds to faculty interested
in utilizing instructional technology in the classroom and in electronic
delivery.  The Faculty Development Initiative Program (FDIP) has provided
significant financial and instructional assistance to faculty engaged in
innovative teaching with technology.  For FY 2011, approximately $300,000
will be awarded through two tracks.  Individuals interested in developing
electronic course material for use in a single course may submit proposals
for Program A grants (maximum award of $4,000).  Teams of faculty interested
in developing electronic course materials for multiple courses may submit
for a Program B grant (maximum award of $25,000).  Proposals that address
the development of hybrid courses with an off-campus component and/or the
development of master零 level degrees and/or certificates are particularly
encouraged.
