[CCoE Notice] Transportation and Parking Advisory Committee Town Hall Meeting this Friday

PARKING TOWN HALL DECEMBER 3, 2010


Houston, November 22, 2010 - Parking and Transportation Services will be hosting a town hall December 3, 2010 at 1:30pm in the Big Bend room of the University Center to present its 2012-2013 parking plan.

Bob Browand, Director of Parking and Transportation Services, will be presenting the 2012-2013 Parking Strategic Plan, including proposed projects and fees.  Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend to hear the plan and provide feedback.

"As part of our commitment to providing transparency and accountability, TPAC (Transportation and Parking Advisory Committee) requested to host a town hall prior to their final vote on the 2012-2013 parking plan," explained Mr. Browand.  "We encourage our customers to take advantage of this opportunity to see the plan in advance and ask any questions they might have."

Anticipating continued construction on campus and its effect on parkers, combined with increasing enrollment, Parking and Transportation Services has developed a plan which will address the long-term needs of the campus, including increasing parking availability, while also addressing short-term parking demands.
