Good Morning Chairs, Graduate Directors, and Advisors,

Happy New Year! I hope this email finds you all well.

As we begin a new semester, we would like for you to forward this email to your faculty supervising PhD dissertations and Masters theses. Graduate Advisors, please send the memorandum to new and returning students.

As a reminder, PhD students are awarded GTF for nine hours and they should not enroll for more than 9 hours unless they want to pay from their own pocket for the additional hours.  Please make sure that PhD students enroll in PhD Research 8x98 and not Masters Research 6x98. Advisors, make sure that the required PhD research and dissertation hours are taken. Dissertation hours should not be taken until after the student has passed the Qualifying Exam. Please ensure that BS to PhD students and MS to PhD students are enrolled in the correct hours.
