Announcement:

2nd Annual ComSciCon-Houston (Communicating Science Conference) is here!!!!! ComSciCon is an interdisciplinary workshop for local STEM graduate students and postdocs to improve their communication skills to diverse audiences. Participation is FREE, and this is the last reminder to apply. Applications are open until December 15, 2017.

The key goals of ComSciCon-Houston 2018:

1.     Developing communication skills of attendees through peer-review and expert feedback on their original work.

2.     Starting a sustainable network of young scientists in the greater Houston area committed to sharing their research.

3.     Providing learning and networking opportunities with experts on science communication through written and digital media.

The conference will also feature Dr. Neal Lane (former director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy) as keynote speaker, three panel discussions (Communicating Science through Print Media, through Electronic Media, and to Policy Makers), as well as a poster design workshop.
